In the Palmento Due, guests get to experience a trullo-domed suite with an interesting story. This expansive suite, boasting over 60 square meters, was orginally used to store grapes from the harvest. Now, however, its a limestone nest of seclusion.
Entering in from the rustic barn-like door, guests are greeted by a cozy sitting area, complete with a roaring fireplace. The living room includes a set of plush purple armchairs, an antique armoire, and a mantel that goes on for ages. Around and above, great limestone slabs creep up to form the trullo dome, carved to include cross-vaulting for a special architectural touch.
A few steps up the chianche tills the bedroom area sits under another arched alcove. Making creative use out of the shape of the room, the king size bed, along with chaise lounge and bedside tables, are artfully placed in the former grape storage well, sectioned off by classic wrought-iron railings.
For modern comforts, a large flatscreen TV is subtly mounted on the wall in front of the bed, while a restful jacuzzi and shower are installed in the decadent bathroom. Outside, a serene sitting area makes it easy to enjoy the beautiful farm surroundings and fresh Puglian air.
